My name is Erwan and I live in Ireland. My real job is “postdoc” (it’s a bit like academic, but without the salary or job security). Not that any of this matters.

At first I thought about writing this blog anonymously: more mysterious, the thrill of a clandestine activity… But let’s not pretend that this blog deserves a secret author, I’m too old for this kind of fantasy.

I’m not sure myself what this blog will be about. The motivation is for something perhaps a bit original, some kind of path less travelled, if possible. Trying to look at various things from some kind of unusual perspective, without any ambition to convince anyone of anything (hence the title).

The reader can safely assume that I’m not an expert at anything I talk about on this blog. They are encouraged to embrace the occasional naiveté, clumsiness and awkwardness that should undoubtedly appear throughout my texts.

If you experience a feeling of utter confusion after reading this blog, well… Maybe it’s a good thing? Fuck knows.
